Introduction

For those of you not familiar with the expression not all who wander are lost, it is the second line of a poem found in the Lord of the Rings novel.  Though I’m not a Tolkien fan, I’ve seen it printed on T-shirts in my travels and it has always struck a chord.  The name of this blog Not All Who Launder Are Washed is simply wordplay on that expression.  While somewhat ambiguous, there is a degree of truth in both statements.

My desire is to provide an entertaining platform for a range of topics including travel, relationships and current affairs.  I respectfully invite you to have a seat at the table.  Instead of one more thing to do, consider it a welcome break. You’ll have the option to comment, contact me privately or suggest a topic for discussion.   I intend to be as transparent as possible, so as to encourage others.  Unlike social media, this is a safe place for thoughtful discussion, but we will not shy away from difficult topics.

Think of it as a virtual lost and found.  You may leave something or you may take something with you.  Like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get…
